Review – Sleek Glory Eyeshadow Palette
This palette from Sleek Makeup was clearly inspired by the recent Olympics. ‘Glory‘ – i guess that’s what every athlete was hoping to achieve during this international sporting event. This palette also celebrates London, which was where the Olympics was held.
So full of color – bright and (some) quirky colors is what you’ll find in this palette. The names of the individual colors are also named after the Tube lines. You’ll see in the pictures below There’s a good mix of bright and neutral colors – i don’t imagine it’ll be too hard to color coordinate with this one.
All the colors in this palette are reasonably pigmented – except for Platform which is that light grey (second from the right on the top row). It’s kinda chalky and and quite hard to even swatch it. It’s very sheer and the color doesn’t blend well.
I will probably reach for the colors in the top row most often. Actually, I would easily wear the colors in the bottom row as well, maybe except for that canary yellow named Circle and that fiery red named Central. Those are a tad much for me, but maybe they can be blended with other colors to look more appealing. We’ll see All in all, i’ve always thought Sleek eyeshadow palettes are value for money and this is no exception. They are versatile (as usual) and you can create different looks with this palette.
And here is a FOTD i’ve done to share with you. I’ve used District (first from the left on bottom row) from the Glory Palette all over my lid spreading it slightly above the crease. I then used light beige from my Shu Uemura palette to layer over half of the lid (inner) then used medium brown in the crease to add depth. I finished off with a bright pink lip to complete this look.
What do you think? Do you like it?
Thanks for looking!
