Review – Dior Addict Lip Glow Color Awakening Lip Balm
If you suffer from a case of perpetually dry lips, this review will probably interest you even more. I am one of those whom you see often picking at the dry skin on my lips – I know it is annoying. My friends tell me that all the time. Lol!
I think many of you will like the Dior Addict Lip Glow Lip Balm (for short), especially if you don’t wear lipstick all the time. Most days, i just go for that natural look, with filled-in brows, no-fuss eyeliner and blush. When you skip a lip product, you can sometimes look a little sickly especially when your lips are dry and peeling. Using this gives me that subtle shine to complete my barely made up face. Before i go any further, let’s indulge in some pictures shall we?
Product Information: (Taken from the Dior website)
A made-to-measure lip balm that beautifies and durably enhances the lips’ natural color. A customized color result: thanks to its Color Reviver technology. Dior Addict Lip Glow reacts directly with the unique chemistry of each woman’s lips before releasing its color ingredient. Lips seem revived from within, amazingly fresh, full and radiant. In addition, its formula enriched with wild mango and luffa cylindrica continuously protects and moisturizes. A universal balm for all lips.
From what little i mentioned early on in this review, i suppose you’ve already gathered that i like this product.
There’s nothing in particular that I would call out about the packaging. It’s simple, fuss-free, lightweight and functions as it should. I like that it’s all cute and girly though. It enhances the experience of whipping it out mid-stride and applying it on my lips ;p
The Dior Addict Lip Glow Lip Balm keeps my lips hydrated for a reasonable length of time. It doesn’t feel sticky at all, in fact it feels very comfortable sitting on my lips and makes them feel soft.
I like the subtle shine and that barest hint of color on my lips when i use this. Due to its Color Reviver technology, i gather the color effect will be somewhat different on all of us. But i think i can safely say that it will be very natural-looking ;)
So… there’s not a whole lot to say actually. It’s a simple product which works well for me. The price is far from being pocket-friendly i’ll be the first to admit that (US$32) but i think an occasional splurge won’t hurt anyone! I used this lip balm throughout my recent Amsterdam and Paris trip. My lips were well-protected despite the cold weather and harsh winds. I would think that is testament to the quality of this product. Enough said!
Here’s what it looks like on moi! Have a great weekend everyone!
