I don’t know about you, but these Zalora ads were completely in my face on Facebook. You know, on the right hand column. After seeing them for what felt like the millionth time, I simply could not resist clicking just to see what they were all about. And so … this is where the story begins. ;p
But no seriously… I couldn’t have discovered Zalora at a better time. It’s the X’mas season for crying out loud, we all need to shop right? And contribute to the ailing economy…?!?! This is the best way to avoid all those crowds – just sit back, relax and wait for your purchases to arrive on your doorstep. I do a fair bit of online shopping especially for clothes, bags and beauty items, so this is completely…utterly… right up my alley.
Just for the fun of it, I’d like to share a couple of things that caught my eye. BTW, X’mas shopping is NOT limited to shopping for others… you deserve some love too. So please pamper yourself with some pretty dresses or those to die for beauty items you’ve been lusting after.
These are some of the dresses I thought would fit nicely in my wardrobe. What do you think of them? With several year-end events coming up, i think there’ll be so many occasions to wear them. They have a wide selection of apparel, some more affordable than others. But it sure looks like they have something for everyone.
And while shopping for my ever-growing wardrobe, I found some cool stuff that would be great as X’mas gifts for my friends.
Zalora’s got quite a huge range of items for men, women and children – ranging from clothes, shoes, bags, accessories etc. If you love online shopping like I do, I believe you will have fun here
From now till 31 Dec 2012, use code zaloraluvin to get 15% off your purchases! Happy shopping!!
Good news people! Havaianas Singapore will be implementing ‘Happiness Guaranteed’ – a new store policy in h stores that allows consumers to return or exchange their new/used pairs of Havaianas within 30 days of purchase (with ‘Happiness Guranteed’-stamped receipt).
I think this is a policy more retailers should seriously look into here in Singapore. This is not something new – shoppers in the US for example, enjoy absolute peace of mind knowing that they can easily return/exchange an item in stores. That’s the way to go if you are looking to ‘buy’ the hearts of your customers. Give your customers the confidence of being able to return merchandise they have bought, and they will definitely be back for more. Not rocket science right?
I mean, how many times have you bought a dress or blouse or whatever, only to find that you don’t REALLY like it when you get home? Off it goes to the deep deep hole in the back of your closet, never to see the light of day again? This has happened so many times to me. My mum has grown tired of reminding me that half the clothes i give away are brand new with the tag still attached to it. And this is why i’m really glad to know that Havaianas has tried to understand the psyche of shoppers, and i believe this will help erase any hesitation you previously had, and give more of you the confidence to give them a go.
If any pair of flip-flops you purchase from Havaianas is defective, not the color you wanted, or just not as comfortable as you thought they would be, you can simply bring it back to them for an exchange or refund. As simple as that Go on… give Havaianas a go… for 30 days… completely worry-free.
There are 5 h stores in Singapore – ION Orchard, Takashimaya, Plaza Singapura, Bugis Junction and Raffles City.
It felt great to end my work week attending the MYOH event at the h store last night at Takashimaya. Definitely a positive start to the weekend! I wear flip flops a lot especially during the weekend, so i was looking forward to making my own personalized pair of Havaianas.
There are many pretty colors available to choose from! From the soles, to straps, to the little details like pins that you can use to accessorize your flip flops!! But i was kinda disappointed to find out that i could only choose from 3 colors for the sole because i was a size 33/34. But i’m sure most of you have bigger feet than i do, so do enjoy the wide range of colors you can choose from!
Did you know? All the Havaianas in the world are lovingly made from a single factory in Brazil – a strong testament to the brand’s originality since its humble beginnings from way back in 1962.
Anywayz. Local celebrity DJ, Rosalyn Lee, was sighted at the event last night with her friends! She’s really pretty, and super tall and skinny! Should have asked to take a picture with her, but was too shy. Oh well… ^_^
If you are making a trip to town this weekend (14-15 July) with your friends, do drop by Havaianas to be a part of Singapore’s MYOH movement. While you’re there having fun creating your own pretty flip flops, don’t forget to wish them a Happy 50th Anniversary!!
Thank you for the invitation Havaianas Singapore and Vibes Communications! Huiting, it was great to finally meet you in person

Here’s some arm candy i bought from Helloberry’s Etsy store recently. It shipped from Canada and it took about 2 weeks to arrive. I am in love with the grey and coral colors, which so spell SUMMER! Can’t wait to use em!
Here are my top picks from ASOS.
Soft pastels, lace, chiffon, romantic florals…. what wouldn’t i do for a wardrobe overhaul now?
Enjoy the rest of Sunday and have a good week ahead! Thanks for looking!
Good Morning!! Can’t believe it’s March already!!
Ever since i posted about Spring and all those yummy pastel shades, i simply can’t get coral out of my mind.
It was as if my brain was on high alert mode, zero-ing in on all things coral. It is a beautiful color, can’t deny that…
I’m so inspired by these images. Enjoy! Indulge!
I’d very much love to inject a few key pastel pieces into my wardrobe for S/S 2012.
Coral, lavender, mint green, baby blue…… Yummy!
Well here in Singapore it’s mostly summer all year round. Not that it should make a difference to me, but still i like to fantasize about living through 4 seasons ;p
Hv u done any shopping to welcome Spring yet?
I’ve put myself up to yet another challenge, besides committing to posting weekly on this blog. I will try my very best to share a daily photo here on Look Nook Hook with you. Do join me in this challenge!
