LookFile #1 – SS2011 Nautical
Every season, i love to check out the latest runway styles and the endless pret a porter collections from luxury labels. Unless your husband/father/fairy godmother is easily worth $30 million, most of us do not have the luxury of buying those same pieces to keep up with the latest fashion trends. That is life, and i believe God is always fair. So just like everyone else, we buy similar inspired pieces from mainstream high street fashion labels or blogshops which offer affordable alternatives. We hunt high and low, mix and match, and with some creativity, we can look like a million dollars 🙂 We don’t have to be clad in designer gear from top to toe to be an ‘IT’ gal!
So, stripes are back in full force this SS2011 season. This is a summer dress from Jil Sander – very nautical and what a nice way to package the whole look with a bold pink lip. So simple yet so chic.

Every now and then, i’ll be sharing here a series of looks that i put together, inspired by current runway trends. Sometimes, i find myself faced with a fashion block (similar to that of a writer’s block) and i just can’t seem to put together a decent outfit. That sucks especially whem i’m pressed for time and need to leave the house in 30 mins. So these ‘lookfiles’ that i create will serve as a quick reference on what i can piece together quickly. I hope you enjoy them!
Here’s Lookfile#1 with a nautical-inspired look, great for the weekends with girlfriends and definitely much easier on the pocket! The miu miu clutch adds a bit of luxe to keep this look polished.
